Patellar Tendonitis

What is Patellar Tendonitis?

Patellar tendonitis is defined as an injury that impacts the tissue which serves as the connecting link between the kneecap (also known as the patella) and the shinbone. Also dubbed jumper’s knee, this injury is most prevalent in basketball players and volleyball players and any other athletes that have to do a lot of jumping in their sports.

What are the symptoms of Patellar Tendonitis?

At first, you may experience pain only when doing sports or workouts but over time you may start to feel discomfort even when doing simple things like walking up the stairs.

How we deal with Patellar Tendonitis?

We work on your posture, stretching out your leg muscles, strengthen the area surrounding your patella, and work to improve your mobility so you can bend, jump, and move in general without having to suffer from stiffness and pain.
