Bursitis is an incredibly painful injury that impacts the bursae (fluid filled sacs to protect the muscles from rubbing on the bones), causing them to become irritated and inflamed. The hip is often the target of this injury and typically occurs in athletes who play soccer, and other sports that require fast, cutting lateral movements.
If you are suffering from bursitis, you may notice swelling, stiffness, and a dull ache that intensifies when you stick out your hip or press on the outer hip area.
In order to take pressure off the bursa and allow for a faster recovery, we find the source of why the bursa is getting inflamed and find you back to your center. Along side posutral correction we will teach you a series of strength exercises, retrain the way you walk, along with consistent stretching to not only lessen pain but keep the injury from taking place again.
