Lumbar Stenosis

What is Lumbar Stenosis?

Lumbar Stenosis occurs when the spine ages over time and the connective tissues, muscles, and bones inside the spinal column begin to fall apart. When the nerves in the lower back seize up, leg pain and other uncomfortable symptoms occur.

What are the symptoms of Lumbar Stenosis?

The primary symptom of lumbar stenosis is discomfort, numbness, tingling, and difficulty walking. If this condition goes undeal withed for too long, it can lead to issues with the bladder, bowels, and sexual function as well.

How do we deal with Lumbar Stenosis?

We examine your posture when sitting at a desk, walking, and moving your body in general. Once we identify which parts of your body are compensating for your energy, we work on strengthening your abdominals so that your spine is better supported. We also do conditioning exercises to improve your aerobic ability and flexion exercises to reduce irritation in the lower portion of the spine.
